Many people dream of traveling. But life gets in the way: the kids are too young, there’s not enough money, can’t take time off work. But what if you could go wherever you wanted? Let me show you some places and experiences to add to your list, for when you have world enough and time.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. – H. Jackson Brown

I am a geeky foodie struck by a powerful case of wanderlust. Thanks to my job at an airline, my boyfriend David and I are doing “scouting missions” around the world. Let us take you on our brief glimpses of this wonderful planet, so you can decide along with us where to return when we have world enough and time!

  1. We’re trying our best to make sure we plan a decent sized trip every second years and some smaller ones in the years between. There’s so much world to see & I plan on covering as much ground as possible 🙂

    • Good on you, Mike! It sounds like you might be from the US too… If you are, the cool thing about this country is that you can spend a weekend somewhere not very far that is nevertheless totally different from where you live! 🙂 That can tide you over in between the bigger trips. Happy travels!

      • Ahh. My bad. Australia is not far off in size, so I’m sure you’ve got your work cut out exploring it too! Glad to hear you’re coming to the US. Hope it’s a pleasure trip! Looking forward to reading your stories on it. 🙂

      • There’s a lot of Australia we’ve got to explore but maybe when we’re much older. It’s the appeal of other cultures and countries that’s grabbing us when we travel and probably will for a long time to come 🙂

    • Thanks Sandy! Much appreciated! I’m so bad about these blogging awards… I really want to answer and share, blogging is such a community after all. They just don’t seem to fit my theme. I shall have to make an acknowledgement page or something similar. Thank you again!
