This is my favorite hike in the world. Of course, that’s not saying that much… after all, I’m not an avid hiker. But it’s a moderate hike with some challenging moments and huge payoffs: five waterfalls!

On the west side of Kauai, about an hour’s drive away from Lihue, is Waimea Canyon. It’s a beautiful, lush paradise, complete with a waterfall and lots of great hikes.

The city of Zurich is picturesque, even from the ground. The Limmat River, Lake Zurich, the Alps in the distance all contrive for a postcard perfect view.
